Etchings with mezzotint printed in sepia, circa 1809-1817, etched by the artist, engraved by C. Turner, W. Say, R. Dunkarton, G. Clint, T. Lupton and the artist, frontispiece and 70 plates, fine impressions, the majority early states (1 proof, 2 first states, 7 second states, 42 third states, 13 fourth states, 4 fifth states and 2 sixth states), on laid paper with T. Richard watermarks, with margins, in generally good, fresh condition apart from some soft folds on a very few plates, occasional fox marks, very slight paper discoloration, bound in contemporary calf, richly gilt, spine divided in compartments with gilt title, marble end papers, all edges gilt

17th Earl of Moray, Morton Gray Stuart (1855-1930); 18th Earl of Moray, Francis Douglas Stuart (b. 1892); ex coll. Frank Hurlbutt (not in Lugt). Sold at Sotheby's on Monday, 23rd of May, 1932 to Mr. Thorp for 10 shilling.
