Paper lightly and evenly browned, except for very narrow band at edges. Otherwise very good, fresh condition.

Two other identically signed and dated drawings of musicians by Dusart are known: one, A Bagpiper, was sold together with the present drawing in 1987, the other, A Hurdy-Gurdy Player, is in the Art Institute of Chicago (inv. no. 1972.774).
