Catalogue Note
This drawing is very characteristic of Cecco Bravo's style, and also of his technique in the combination of red and black chalk. He learned the rudiments of drawing in the studio of Biliverti, whose influence is quite clear in the present study. It appears not to be preparatory for a known painting.
