- Portrait of a gentleman of the Holt family, half-length, wearing armour and a red sash
- signed centre right: CQ fecit Ao 1650.

Condition
The support consists of three vertical panels. The left hand join has been strengthened to the reverse with a canvas strip and is visible to the front as seen in the catalogue illustration..
There are some minor paint losses and frame abrasion but the paint surface is otherwise secure.
Scattered retouchings are visible under UV light, in particular to the areas of paint loss and the left join and some of these have discoloured.
Offered in a later wood and plaster gold paint frame in reasonable condition.
