"The following condition report has been provided by Henry Gentle, an independent restorer who is not an employee of Sotheby's. The canvas has been lined and the paint layer is stable but slightly raised. The impasto is well preserved and apart from some strengthening of the blue to the drapery the painting is in a well preserved, untouched condition. The varnish is degraded and discoloured and its removal would improve the tonality. Offered in a gilt wood frame, with some losses."
