Provenance

Sale, Amsterdam, Muller, 21 November 1933, lot 46, as Isaac van Ostade, (with inverted measurements);
Chavan Sale, Geneva, Moos, 20 March 1937, lot 14, as Isaac van Ostade.

Condition

The panel is cradled to the reverse. The paint surface is secure and under a yellowed varnish. Some scattered retouchings have discoloured a little and are visible to the naked eye whilst some others flouresce under UV light. The paintings is overall in fair condition and offered in a wood and plater frame with some knocks and losses.
