Description

  • Portrait of a young artist, half-length, displaying one of his pen and ink drawings
  • oil on canvas, unlined

Provenance

Professor Kraft (?) (according to an old label on the reverse of the canvas)

Condition

The canvas is unlined. The paint surface is secure and under a dirty varnish. Scattered retouchings and restorations are visible to the naked eye and these are confirmed under UV light. Offered in a gilt wood and plaster frame with some knocks.
