Condition
The canvas has a fairly old relining. There is a seam running horizontally 10 cms below the upper edge. The paint surface is has suffered some very minor scattered losses but is now secure under a thick glossy varnish. The paint is quite thin in some areas. Scattered retouchings, strengthenings, and restored damages are visible to the naked eye. Inspection under UV light reveasl further retouchings although thorough inspection is impeded by the varnish. The painting would benefit from some restoration and cleaning. Offered in a carved and gilt wood frame in fairly good condition.
