Condition
The canvases have firm relinings but the paint surfaces are not overly flattened and are sound,with fine cracquelure throughout. Inspection under UV light reveals scattered strengthenings and retouchings to both, but these are not obtrusive. The paintings are ready to hang. Offered in later matching parcel-gilt frames in good condition.
