Description

  • Ludovico Stern
  • A still life with roses and other flowers in a glass vase
  • oil on canvas, in a carved gilt wood frame

Condition

The canvas has a firm relining. The paint surface is generally secure and under a dirty matt varnish. There are some losses to the right margin due to frame abrasion. The painting appears to have been extended by approx. 0.5 cm. on each side. Other than this the details of the central section are well preserved with some very minor scattered losses and in fairly good original condition. Offered in a carved gilt wood frame which is structurally sound but quite rubbed,
