rare. Plates from the architecture section of Le Bas's monumental work. The whole work was published in 6 volumes comprising 83 livraisons.

Philippe Le Bas, tutor to Louis Bonaparte from 1820 to 1827, travelled to Greece and Asia Minor with Eugene Landron, the artist, in 1843, collecting in the region of four thousand inscriptions. W.H. Waddington, who travelled in the Levant in 1850, completed the work after the death of Le Bas in 1860.
