8vo (216 x 137mm.), 16 coloured plates and decorations by Willy Pogany, contemporary dark red goatskin by riviere (signed on the front turn-in), gilt pointillé and double fillet outer border, double fillet inner border, a verse from the Rubaiyat contained between the two borders, borders enclosing a design of vine leaves and grapes, central oval cartouche with Eve and the Tree of Knowledge on upper cover and a snake entwined around a goblet on lower cover, worked in variously coloured morocco onlays with gilt and blind tooling, spine in compartments gilt lettered and with gilt serpent and cup designs, edges gilt, cloth slip-case
