Catalogue Note
Third Spanish edition of this classic description of the 1520-27 Portuguese expedition to the land of the fabled Prester John. It was the first detailed description of Ethiopia. The latter part of the work describes the navigation from the Straits of Ormuz to India. This translation is by Thomas Padilla, who issued the first edition in Spanish in Antwerp in 1557.
