First edition of Gioseppe Moleto's Latin re-translation after Bilibald Pirckheymer. In addition to the two modern world maps, six of the maps relate to the Americas. Others include Scandinavia (after Jakob Ziegler, 1532 - see lot 148), the Arctic (after the famous "Zeno Map", first published in woodcut in 1558) and South Africa.
