2) autograph note with two short musical quotations, from the last movement of the Quartet, written in black ink and crayon respectively, congratulating Gertrude on spotting a mistake in Schirmer's edition, asking her to correct it or include it on the next errata list, and confirming a reading in the viola part at bar "878" ("Gratuliere! Trudi hat Recht. Takt 818 [in fact bar 816], II. Viol. [semiquavers]14/16 muss g [natural sign] sein [musical notation], bitte verbessern, oder mit nächster Fehlerliste mitsenden..."), 1 page, 16mo, torn from a larger sheet, [c.1937]

3) autograph note [to Felix Greissle], about the title-page for the Fourth Quartet, providing him with the layout and the text, including the dedication to Elizabeth Sprague Coolidge and the Kolisch Quartet, in case the publishers Schirmer's ask him to prepare one ("...Ich sende dir den Text des Titelblatts, falls Schirmer dir die Anfertigung übertragen sollten..."), 1 page, 16mo, c.1937
