Catalogue Note
rare: autograph music by Rimsky-Korsakov is exceedingly rare at auction. Unusual among Rimsky-Korsakov's operas for having a plot not drawn from Russian history or folklore, Servilia was composed in 1900-1901 and first performed in St. Petersburg in October 1902.
