  • Early autograph sketch-manuscript
comprising sketches for a number of unidentified works, apparently vocal and instrumental, including a lengthy sketch for a strophic vocal composition ("Ja ihr Blümlein, unter Allem die Ihr hier so reizvoll blüht..."), set out on three systems, with brief indications of the accompaniment, notated in brown ink and pencil on systems of varying length, some autograph deletions and revisions



4 pages, cut down from a larger leaf (c.23.3 x 25.7cm), a few later manuscript annotations, no place or date [1840s], a few small stains to margins, central vertical fold



together with two autograph letters signed ("Jacques Offenbach"), 4 pages, 8vo, one letter with autograph envelope, 22 January 1873 and June 1877, one letter mounted at the corners
