first edition, 72 leaves, 4to (21.6 x 16.6cm), type-set music and woodcut tablature throughout, table and privilege, woodcut historiated initials and ornaments, pencil inscriptions by Robert Spencer to endpapers, modern vellum, title and nine other leaves (A4, B1-4, H1, H4, S1, S4) supplied in facsimile, last verse on N1 covered over with old paper strip, repairs to many leaves, some text missing to ff.9v, 57r, 57v and 65r supplied in facsimile, some light damp-staining to margins
