Catalogue Note
uncommon. An exceptionally interesting manuscript, extraordinarily rich in corrections and revisions, providing many valuable insights into the technique of the great composer-violinist Rodolphe Kreutzer (1766-1831). A particularly noteworthy feature of the composition is a brilliant written-out cadenza, placed shortly before the close. The verso of one of the formerly stuck-down pages contains pencil sketches, apparently in Kreutzer's hand, for a vocal work.
