Fine letter signed twice ("nwgade"), written just before his departure for Leipzig, to Ferdinand David mentioning Mendelssohn, Schumann and Rietz and asking which singers and orchestral players will be available for the forthcoming winter, 3 pages, 4to, integral autograph address-panel, Copenhagen, 15 August 1844;  with musical quotations by Gade (1848) and Joachim (1847) on the same leaf



together with letters by Clara Schumann (2), Marie Schumann, Goldmark (3; one about Mahler "...Ich kann nicht gegen Mahler und...aber auch nicht für Mahler (öffentlich) sein..."), F. David (autograph musical quotation signed), Spohr (2, to the violinists Beck and Mollenhauer), Fanny Hensel (2-page autograph letter to F.
