first edition, 2 volumes in one, folio (c. 37 x 23cms), engraved throughout, table of songs to each volume, 200 engraved leaves of music, all with vignettes by Bickham, (vol 2 f.14 attributed to Porpora, vol 2 f.86 unattributed, additional copy of vol.1, f.1), late nineteenth-century red crushed morocco by Stähelin & Lauenstein of Vienna, gilt turn-ins, eighteenth-century flyleaves, lacking subscribers' list, some leaves apparently from other copies, title and some other leaves remargined with slight loss, some staining
