Catalogue Note
This is a good clear musical quotation from the highpoint of one of Verdi's best-loved operas, the heroine's lyrical outburst in Act 2 of La Traviata, where she declares and demands confirmation of their love for each other. Verdi was in Paris in order to sign up Victor Maurel for the role of Iago in Otello
