Catalogue Note
This is an important and attractive album evocative of a particular artistic mileu, containing some substantial musical quotations from Schumann's circle, mainly dating from Leizpig in 1845 and 1846. Antonia Speyer (1814-1890), was the daughter of the violinist Wilhelm Speyer, members of a distinguished C19 musical family.
