Catalogue Note
Stefan Zwicky, Swiss born interior designer, challenged the simplicity and perception of an iconic form by Le Corbusier with the introduction of contrary material in his use of concrete and rebar. Grand Confort, Sans Confort, Dommage à Corbu was first produced in 1980 for the exhibition entitled Vor dem Abbruch at the Kunstmuseum in Bern. Later examples in the series were executed in collaboration with Teo Jakob, the noted Swiss interior design firm.
