Condition

An iconic piece of excellent condition. The red enamelled interior with a slightly darker tone than the catalogue illustration suggests. Piece with polished patina with minute scratches consistent with polishing during manufacture. Two very faint construction seams visible across the 'waist' of the shape inherent in the making. One tiny abrasion, measuring 1 x 1.5 cm, to the left facing edge of the piece along the rim of the opening. The piece is light and easily moveable with two people.

Catalogue Note

"The form is one that I was striving for when I made the 'Lockheed Lounge' but, in those days, I didn't have the knowledge or the resources to make it." Marc Newson
