STRUCTURE
The canvas has been relined.
PAINT SURFACE
There are traces of craquelure to the paint surface as well as stretcher marks. The paint surface is generally clean and appears to have been overcleaned in the upper right area of sky.
ULTRAVIOLET
UV light reveals retouching to the sky, upper right and to the stretcher mark along the upper edge; also some retouching to the vessels and along the lower border. Some strengthening to the signature.
FRAME
Held in a plaster gilt frame in fair condition.
