The necklace suspending to the center with an oval alexandrite weighing 12.05 carats, framed by brilliant-cut diamonds, supporting tassels of brilliant-cut diamonds and briolette diamonds of yellowish hue, surmounted by an oval alexandrite weighing 2.79 carats within diamond-set surround, joined by diamond-set links, the necklace composed of marquise-shaped links pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamonds, embellished by oscillating briolette yellow diamonds, length approximately 380mm; pair of matching pendent ear clips, each suspending on an oval alexandrite weighing 3.48 and 3.34 carats respectively, surmounted by an oval alexandrite altogether weighing approximately 1.50 carats, clip and post fittings; and a ring en suite centring on an oval alexandrite weighing 7.65 carats; the diamonds and briolette diamonds altogether weighing approximately 15.10 carats, mounted in platinum. Condition

Colour and Clarity: According to the Gübelin reports, all the alexandrites are natural, of Brazilian origin, well matched, displaying pronounced colour change, from bluish green/blue green to purple/reddish purple. The necklace suspends a 12.05 carat alexandrite which is of exceptional quality for its size, and is accompanied by an appendix stating the rarity of the stone, "possessing a very high degree of transparency, combined with very strong colour-change effect", it has exceptional transparency for alexandrite of this size, very minor surface abrasions, a slight chip on the girdle. The surmounting alexandrite is of matching quality, very good transparency. The 3.48ct alexandrite on one of the earrings has a small cluster of crystal inclusions to one end of the upper and lower girdle facets which are noticeable under 10x loupe, the other alexandrites on earrings are fairly loupe clean. The alexandrite on the ring is of exceptional quality for its size and high degree of transparency, accompanied by an appendix stating the rarity of the stone. The briolette diamonds are ranging from a yellow to fancy yellow colour, generally VS clarity, small round diamonds about E-F colours, VVS to VS clarity. Condition: An important suite of matching alexandrites. In mint condition.
