JADEITE 'HUAIGU' AND DIAMOND PENDANT

The jadeite huaigu of rich emerald green colour and fine translucency, encircled and enhanced to the core by brilliant-cut diamonds, fully encrusted with brilliant-cut diamonds to the reverse, embellished to the center with a jadeite cabochon, to an oval rose-cut diamond surmount, completed by a double link-chain decorated with bezel-set brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in 18 karat white gold, length approximately 400mm.

Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the jadeite huaigu is very fine translucent, of bright and rich emerald green colour, with pleasing thickness. Under strong illumination, there are some clouds and dark inclusions, which are not noticeable in normal lighting and not seen when worn. Tiny jadeite cabochon set to the reverse is of intense green colour, high dome. The rose-cut diamond in surmount weighing approximately 2.55 carats, probably of J colour, VS2 clarity with a crystal inclusion under table. Other tiny round diamonds together weighing approximately 4.90 carats, about G to H colours, VS clarity. Condition: Two diamond-set link chains are detachable. Classic huaigu pendant, fine workmanship, in mint condition.
