Description
- Tiffany & Co.
Of Art-Deco design, the cypress-shaped motif encrusted with circular-, old mine-cut and baguette diamonds, enhanced by calibré-cut emeralds, to a similarly-set terminal applied with a pear-shaped emerald weighing 11.20 carats, the diamonds together weighing approximately 3.00 carats, mounted in platinum, signed.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to Gubelin report, the emerald is natural, of Colombian origin, with moderate clarity enhancement. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, the emerald is of slightly shallow cut, but displaying a very pleasing, intense green colour, slightly included to naked eyes, nice face-up outline. Under 10x loupe, some inclusions are surface reaching, but generally the inclusions do not affect the brilliance and visual appearance of the emerald. Most of the old-cut diamonds are about G to H colours, VS clarity, which is rare quality in old stones. But a few diamonds close to the emerald are about J colours, similar clarity. Signed to the back, but part of the stamp has been rubbed off.
Condition: Typical design in 1920s, probably been re-polished and plated, overall in very good condition.

Catalogue Note
Accompanied by Gübelin report numbered 0807205, dated 22 July 2008, stating that the 11.20 carat emerald is natural, of Colombian origin, with indications of moderate clarity enhancement, natural emeralds are commonly clarity enhanced.
