Description
- Carving approximately 143.25 x 88.75 x 58.00mm.
Exquisitely carved as a Buddha of translucent deep celadon tone material suffused with deep honey yellow colour to the outer surround, holding a scroll banner representing longevity, decorated to the side with three deities each holding blessing treasures, further enhanced by bats holding fortune coins, ingots, lingzhi ruyi, rosary beads and a palm-leaf fan, all endowing the characteristics of Buddha, giving power to all the blessings, carved on the reverse with two ancient coins, aside a gourd and a treasure sack, all representing prosperity.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the jadeite carving is of deep celadon tone, suffused with deep honey colour to the outer layer. The carving has very good translucency. Upon close inspection, there are some white cloud inclusions, but not noticeable in normal distance and do not affect the overall translucency and appearance.
Condition: Excellent craftsmanship, craftsman makes use of two different colours in the jadeite boulder to highlight the auspicious objects, including coins (wealth), lingzhi (traditional Chinese lucky totem), bats (fortune), kids (many off-spring) and longevity. The buddha also has a pleasing smile. Overall in very good condition.
