Description
Set with a cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 102.73 carats, supported by a stylised frame pavé-set with brilliant- and rose-cut diamonds extending to the surmount, mounted in 18 karat white and yellow gold.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to Gübelin report, the yellow sapphire is of Sri Lankan origin with no indications of heating. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, the yellow sapphire has a strong saturated even face-up golden yellow colour. There are some natural crystal and fingerprint inclusions which are not noticeable when worn. Under 10x loupe there are a few dark inclusions. Yellow sapphire of a rare and impressive size. The diamonds are probably of F-G colours, VS-SI clarity.
Condition: In very good condition.

Prospective purchasers are reminded that, unless the catalogue description specifically states that a stone is natural, we have assumed that some form of treatment may have been used and that such treatment may not be permanent. Our presale estimates reflect this assumption.

Catalogue Note
Accompanied by Gübelin report numbered 0211127, dated 27 November 2002, stating that the 102.73 carat sapphire is natural, of Sri Lankan (Ceylon) origin, with no indications of thermal enhancement, sapphires which have not been enhanced by heat are scarce.
