Description
Centring on an oval cabochon cat's-eye alexandrite weighing 9.02 carats, set within stylised shank pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamonds, embellished on each side with diamond beads, the diamonds together weighing approximately 7.90 carats, mounted in 18 karat white gold.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to AGL report, the cat's-eye alexandrite is natural, of Brazilian origin, with no evidence of treatment. Moderate to strong cat's-eye effect and excellent to very good quality of colour change. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, the cat's-eye alexandrite shows a distinct colour change from medium dark, bluish green colour in daylight, to purplish red colour in incandescent light. Translucent clarity with silky inclusions which give a sharp cat's-eye effect upon strong illumination. Overall, the diamonds are F to G colours, VS clarity for brilliant-cut stones and SI clarity for diamond beads.
Condition: Very unusual design, which the ring can be slightly re-sized by professional service, in mint condition.
