TANZANITE, DIAMOND AND SEED PEARL CHOKER NECKLACE AND PAIR OF MATCHING PENDENT EARRINGS

The choker centring on a cushion-shaped tanzanite weighing approximately 43.50 carats, alternately-set to the surround with circular-cut and baguette diamonds, flanked on each side with three heart-shaped diamonds, completed by five strands of seed pearls each measuring approximately 4.00 to 4.50mm, length approximately 335mm; and pair of matching pendent earrings each suspending on an oval tanzanite altogether weighing approximately 20.00 carats, framed by brilliant-cut diamonds, surmounted by three heart-shaped diamonds, retractable post and pendent fittings; the diamonds altogether weighing approximately 7.30 carats, mounted in 18 karat white gold. Colour and Clarity: Please note the carat weight of tanzanite on necklace should weigh 43.50 carats, not as stated on the catalogue. In our opinion, the large cushion-shaped tanzanite has an exceptional quality, that it is of medium to medium dark, saturated voiletish blue colour, inclusion free to loupe check, very pleasing outline with good brilliance. There are only a few minute abrasions on the corners, which can be easily removed through re-polishing and not noticeable even under 10x loupe. Two oval tanzanites are of similar quality, but colour is of little lighter tone. Diamonds in the surrounds are probably of F to G colours, VVS2 to VS clarity. The seed pearls are cultured pearls, round to naked eyes, cream white colour, good to very good lustre with minute surface blemishes which are not seen unless upon very close inspection. Condition: Tanzanite-set clasp can be completely detached from the seed pearl necklace. Retractable ear pins with concealed pendant loops and hooks. Signs of wear and minor scratches to the mounts, otherwise in very good condition.
