bidding is closed
Description
Of medieval inspiration, centring on a circular-cut amethyst weighing approximately 10.30 carats, framed by similarly-cut red garnets continuing throughout the shank, the garnets together weighing approximately 11.00 carats, mounted in 18 karat yellow and blackened gold.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the amethyst is medium, intense purple colour, very clean to both naked eyes and 10x loupe. Garnets in the surround and shank are about medium to medium dark, brownish red to red colour, eye clean. There are a few garnets showing some minor natural inclusions under 10x loupe, but not seen to naked eyes.
Condition: Shank is of eternity setting which cannot be resized. Overall, in very good condition.
