BLACK DIAMOND AND DIAMOND 'FLOWER' BROOCH

Designed as a single flower head, the petals set with faceted 'icy' diamonds each surrounded by pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamonds surround of conforming shape, to an outer openwork frame set with circular-cut black diamonds, interspersed with diamond beads and briolette diamonds, the 'icy' diamonds and diamonds together weighing approximately 38.85 and 9.20 carats respectively, mounted in 18 karat blackened gold.

Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the icy diamonds are in the range from silver grey to charcoal black colours, translucent to opaque, but mostly semi-translucent, with some surface pits and abrasions to the edges. Diamond beads and briolettes are about H (near-colourless) to medium brown colours, mostly SI clarity. Tiny round diamonds are probably of I to J colours, VS to SI clarity. Other tiny black diamonds are opaque, with minor nicks on their crowns. Condition: Attractive design with three-dimensional mount, in mint condition.
