'To see one of my designs with an important sapphire showcased in a vitrine of a Cartier boutique in Monte Carlo was so emotional to me that it strengthened my desire to continue my own personal path in the world of jewellery'.
Fabio Salini has always been passionate about jewellery. With total dedication, each choice in his life has been influenced by the desire to deepen his knowledge about jewels and precious stones and how to find the perfect design for them.
He graduates in gemmology at the University of Rome, the city where he is born. This solid background allowed him to be genuinely creative, by designing jewellery with unusual, even daring combinations of materials, typical of his designs.
Chalcedony and rubies, sapphires and pink quartz, emeralds and red coral, diamonds and smoky quartz, the combination of minerals and colours have thus become the unique trademark of Fabio Salini.
An important step for his growth as jeweller was to be part of the design teams at Cartier and Bulgari for many years, where he worked in all different phases of product creation.
Many international jewellers and fashion houses knocked on his door to have him as jewellery designer for their brands, but his quest to express his own creative and artistic potential has always been stronger.
Thus, in 1999 he launches his first collection, which was sold at the Roman jeweller Petochi at the Spanish Steps, as well as at the most exclusive jewellers of Cortina, Porto Cervo, Palm Beach, New York and Long Island.
In 2004 he opened his Atelier in via di Monserrato in Rome.
Fabio Salini's eclectic taste and creativity contribute to the most diverse collections in design, inspiration and use of materials, but they are all a very coherent expression of his style. Each single piece of jewellery expresses his passion for precious stones and the unique way he combines them in order to obtain a perfect harmony in form and colour, with just the right balance of volumes and proportions, innovative yet classic. Each jewel is a one-of-a-kind piece becoming synonymous with creativity and research.
