Description
Centring on a circular cabochon emerald, the geometric surmount set with circular- and single-cut diamonds and calibré-cut emeralds, suspending two cushion-shaped diamonds and a circular-cut stone, terminating on an emerald drop, capped by rose-cut diamonds, French assay and maker's marks, fitted case.
Condition
The correct estimate is CHF 60,000-82,000 / US$ 50,000- 70,000.
French assay marks for platinum and maker's marks. The three larger diamonds are accompanied by Gem Tech Lab reports:
No. 07-D-0127 stating that the 2.72 carat cushion-shaped diamond is G colour, SI2 clarity
No. 07-D-0128 stating that the 2.35 carat cushion-shaped diamond is J colour, SI2 clarity.
No. 07-D-0126 stating that the 3.05 carat circular diamond is K colour, I1 clarity.
Further accompanied by two Gem Tech Lab report, no. 07-G-0145 and no. 07-G-0144 stating respectively that the cabochon emerald weighing 37.26 carats and that the emerald drop weighing 87.48 carats are both of natural origin, with moderate clarity enhancement by oil and that the physical and chemical characteristics are similar to those found in emeralds from Colombia. Typical crystal inclusions reaching surface, drilled cabochon with uneven polished surface, minor scratches and nicks to the surfaces of the stones, well matched in colour. Minor scratches to the metal, consistent with wear, in good condition.
