Description

  • length approximately 510mm.
Designed as a strand  of emerald beads spaced by baroque pearls, supporting two similarly set tassels, to the onyx, square- and circular-cut diamond surmounts,

Condition

The two tassels at the front are detachable from the surmounts, to be worn as earrings, together with shepherds hooks. Detachable earrings with French assay marks and signed Janesich. The remaining necklace of emeralds and cultured pearls, emeralds with typical crystal inclusions, some surface reaching. Chips and abrasions are also noticeable, to be expected. Well matched in colour. Cultured pearls irregular in shape and quality, for the most part, cream to creamy skins, typical blemishes but overall good skin and good lustre. Signs of solder. Overall sautoir with signs of normal wear to the metal and to the gemstones, otherwise in good condition.
