French assay and maker's marks.
The brooch of foliate inspiration designed as a stylised bunch of leaves and fruits, set with carved sapphires, circular-cut and oval rubies, mounted in yellow gold,
Condition
French assay marks for gold and stamped 750. Maker's marks for Darde & Fils's workshop who worked with Herz-Belperron from 1955 to 1970. Rubies with typical crystal inclusions, some surface reaching and wear to the surface of the stones, for the most part noticeable with the aid of a 10x lens. Well matched in colour. Two carved sapphires with a drilled hole. Sapphires with typical crystal inclusions noticeable to the naked eye, to be expected with carved stones, but not distracting when worn. Traces of glue to the reverse. Signs of little wear to the metal, scratches consistent with wear. In good condition.
