Description

In Renaissance-Revival style, decorated with three oval motifs of floral design, each composed of a flower head set with a step-cut emerald and cushion-shaped diamonds bordered by black enamel scallops, the central motif accented by cushion-shaped rubies, completed by a hinged segment of lattice design decorated with cushion-shaped diamonds and black enamel, mounted in yellow gold, French import marks, with case.

Condition

French import marks for gold. Total diamond weight ca. 13.00-15.00 carats, mixed in colours and clarities. The principal emerald measuring approximately 7.68 x 7.35 mm, depth not possible to gauge. A yellowish green hue, with medium saturation of colour, typical crystal inclusions and one chip, not noticeable when worn. Stone slightly loose in setting. Clasp secure ins spite of the security chain deficient. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches, tarnish and loose to black enamel consistent with wear and age. In good condition.
