Each depicting a floral vine set with oval and cushion-shaped sapphires altogether weighing 38.83 carats, decorated to the centre with an articulated leaf stalk set with five marquise-shaped diamonds, surmounted by a bombé circle pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamonds, embellished with an oval sapphire, the diamonds altogether weighing approximately 3.50 carats, mounted in 18 karat white gold, clip and retractable post fittings.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to GRS report, all sapphires (each weighing 1.10 to 3.26 carats) are natural, of Burmese origin, with no indication of thermal treatment. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, the sapphires are in slightly uneven shades of blue, from medium to medium dark tone, eye clean, lively stones with good brilliance. Upon 10x loupe check, there may show some silky and fingerprint inclusions, and some stones may have slightly abraded facets. But, all these internal features are not seen to naked eyes. Diamonds are probably of G to H colours, VS to SI1 clarity.
Condition: Nice design displaying both the colour and brilliance, in mint condition.
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. Prospective buyers should inspect each lot to satisfy themselves as to condition and must understand that any statement made by Sotheby's is merely a subjective qualified opinion. Illustrations in the catalogue may not be actual size. Prospective purchasers are reminded that, unless the catalogue description specifically states that a stone is natural, we have assumed that some form of treatment may have been used and that such treatment may not be permanent. Our presale estimates reflect this assumption.
NOTWITHSTANDING THIS REPORT OR ANY DISCUSSIONS CONCERNING CONDITION OF A LOT, ALL LOTS ARE OFFERED AND SOLD "AS IS" IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONDITIONS OF SALE PRINTED IN THE CATALOGUE.
