The straightline articulated pendant set with three step-cut emeralds weighing 2.85, 1.89 and 1.68 carats respectively, spaced by emerald-cut diamonds and a hexagonal-shaped diamond surmount together weighing approximately 2.20 carats, anchored by an emerald-cut diamond weighing approximately 6.90 carats, completed by a fine diamond link-chain together weighing approximately 3.30 carats, mounted in platinum, length approximately 450mm, pendant detachable.

Condition

Colour and Clarity: All three emeralds are certified. According to SSEF report, the emeralds are natural, of Colombian origin, with no clarity enhancement. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, these emeralds are of soft bluish green colour, in medium tone, very clean to naked eyes which is very unusual to non-oiled emeralds. The largest emerald-cut diamond is probably of K to L colours, SI clarity, showing feather on the side. Other step-cut diamonds are generally of H to I colours, VS clarity. Small round diamonds on chain necklace are slightly tinted yellow and VS2 to SI clarity. Pendant detachable. Condition: Minor signs of wear to the mount, otherwise in good condition.
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. Prospective buyers should inspect each lot to satisfy themselves as to condition and must understand that any statement made by Sotheby's is merely a subjective qualified opinion. Illustrations in the catalogue may not be actual size. Prospective purchasers are reminded that, unless the catalogue description specifically states that a stone is natural, we have assumed that some form of treatment may have been used and that such treatment may not be permanent. Our presale estimates reflect this assumption.
NOTWITHSTANDING THIS REPORT OR ANY DISCUSSIONS CONCERNING CONDITION OF A LOT, ALL LOTS ARE OFFERED AND SOLD "AS IS" IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONDITIONS OF SALE PRINTED IN THE CATALOGUE.

Catalogue Note

Accompanied by SSEF report numbered 39478, dated 18 June 2002, stating that the 2.85, 1.89 and 1.67 carat emeralds are natural, of Colombian origin, with no indications of clarity enhancement.
