The body composed of an elongated pear-shaped jadeite cabochon and an oval jadeite cabochon of fine emerald green colour with good translucency, the wings of carved black jadeite, amid swirl motifs set with circular-cut sapphires, brilliant-cut diamonds and black diamonds, mounted in 18 karat blackened gold.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the jadeite cabochons are translucent, of bright green colour. Upon careful look, there is very slightly uneven shade of green, but do not distract the overall beauty of the piece. Black jadeite is opaque and black to naked eyes, which appears very dark green under strong illumination. Diamonds are probably of H to I colours, VS2 to SI clarity; while the tiny black diamonds are opaque. Sapphires are of about medium to medium dark, brilliant blue colour, eye clean. The sapphires together weighing approximately 1.40 carats, diamonds and black diamonds altogether weighing approximately 1.20 carats.
Condition: Unusual brooch design with interesting colour combination, in mint condition.
