Description

  • Cabochon on ring approximately 22.89 x 16.44 x 4.25mm; length of brooch approximately 50mm; and cabochons on earrings approximately 6.04 x 5.05 x 2.45 to 13.02 x 5.59 x 2.04mm.
The ring centring on a semi-translucent oval jadeite cabochon of rich emerald green colour, within a frame of circular-cut diamonds, mounted in white metal; the brooch set with ten emerald green jadeite plaques of fine translucency, carved with flowers and leaves, highlighted by scrolls embellished with circular-cut and baguette diamonds; and the pair of pendent earrings designed as a floral garland, composed of marquise- and pear-shaped jadeite cabochons of translucent rich green tone, decorated with circular-cut and baguette diamonds; both mounted in 14 karat white gold. (3)

Condition

Colour and Clarity: The jadeite cabochon on ring is of semi-translucent rich emerald green colour, dome is relatively flat. Diamonds are probably G-H colours, VS-SI clarity. There are natural inclusions and white specks under strong pen light. The jadeite plaques are of highly translucent rich emerald green colour with some natural inclusions under penlight. Carving is very fine. Diamonds are probably G-H colour, VS-SI colour, together weighing approximately 0.90 carat. The jadeite cabochons on the earrings are of translucent rich emerald green tone with some natural inclusions visible under strong penlight. Diamonds weighing approximately 1.50 carats, probably G-H colours, VS-SI clarity. Condition: Normal signs of wear and tarnishing to metal, in good condition. The prongs need to be tightened on the ring mount and on one segment of the jadeite plaques on the brooch. Nice group of period jewellery.
