Description
- Cabochon approximately 16.06 x 14.01 x 5.55mm; length of brooch approximately 64mm.
The ring of Art Deco design, centring on a rich emerald green oval jadeite cabochon of fine translucency, within a surround alternately-set with baguette and brilliant-cut diamonds, circa 1930s; and the brooch designed as a basket of flowers composed of seven semi-translucent jadeite plaques of bright green colour, carved as butterflies and ducks, highlighted by circular-cut diamonds; mounted in yellow gold. Condition
Colour and Clarity: The jadeite cabochon is of rich emerald green colour with good translucency. There are some natural inclusions under strong penlight. Attractive art deco setting. The diamonds weighing approximately 0.60 carat, about G-H colour, VS clarity. The jadeite plaques on the brooch are translucent bright green colour with natural inclusions and clouds under strong penlight. The diamonds weighing approximately 0.65 carat, G-H clarity, SI-I clarity. One small diamond is severely chipped noticeable under 10x loupe.
Condition: Signs of wear and tarnish to metal which can be polished.
