Each set with a cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 18.21 and 18.61 carats respectively, supported by a stylised diamond-set basket, surmounted by a similarly-set cushion-shaped diamond, spaced by a brilliant-cut diamond, the diamonds altogether weighing approximately 3.70 carats, mounted in platinum.

Condition

Colour and Clarity: According to AGTA report, the 18.21 carat sapphire is natural, of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. The 18.61 carat sapphire is also natural, with no indications of heating, but with no origin determined. In our opinion, the sapphires are matching, of medium to medium dark brilliant blue colour, tint of violet, one has fingerprint inclusions to one corner and the other with silk inclusions under 10x loupe. The sapphires are eye clean with a pleasant face-up brilliance. Cushion-shaped diamonds are about H-I colours, VS clarity. Condition: Set in a tasteful and exquisite mount, in mint condition.

Prospective purchasers are reminded that, unless the catalogue description specifically states that a stone is natural, we have assumed that some form of treatment may have been used and that such treatment may not be permanent. Our presale estimates reflect this assumption.
