The rectangular case of 18 karat yellow gold, embellished throughout with daisies, decorated with pavé-set diamond centres, the interior fitted with a mirror, a powder compact, lipstick holder, cigarette compartment and a tortoise shell haircomb, signed La Minaudière Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered 70861, French assay marks, maker's marks, dimensions approximately 80mm by 140mm.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: Diamonds are probably G-H, mostly VS clarity.
Condition: Overall in very good condition. Some minor scratches. Compartments include a tortoise shell haircomb, cigarette compartment, lipstick holder numbered 70861, inscribed BREVETÉ S.G.D.G., signed VAN CLEEF & ARPELS, "LE VANARP" and numbered 7848, and powder compact numbered 7848. Some glue residue visible under 10x loupe on the tortoise shell haircomb that could benefit from professional cleaning, and minor scratches. Gross weight approximately 469.40 grams.
