Condition
Under ultraviolet light there is very roughly done inpainting on all the borders, especially in the lower left hand corner. The painting has been restored on two thirds of the right edge, the entire lower edge, and almost half of the left edge (most visible in the upper right corner). The right cheekbone has been retouched as well as the right side of the Virgin's neck and slightly on her hands. The head of the angel is restored on the right side. The upper left and central sides of the Virgin's robe have been repainted as well as the lower left side of the halo. There is craquelure on the left and right edges and in the upper right corner. There is a patch on the center left edge of the reverse. The painting exhibits crackelure consistent with its age. The work is stable and ready to hang.
