Condition
The sculpture is in very good condition. The polished onyx displays a distinctive network of veining of various colors that is inherent in the stone. It has a translucent polished surface with no significant scratches or abrasions evident. A minor nick (1/4") in the stone was noted on the figure's proper right knee. A similar discoloration that is slightly longer but with no stone loss can be seen on the proper left thigh. The sculpture is structurally sound.
