Daguerréotype, pleine-plaque. Incisé 'à la Douy' et monogrammé 'GP' en bas à gauche sur la plaque.

Condition

Oxidation mainly at the upper edge, some individual scratches near te lower edge and at the center of the left edge. A small area which has been rubbed at the center of the lower edge.

Catalogue Note

Ce daguerréotype correspond, par son grand format, la prise de vue et la façon dont il est signé et intitulé à celui de la vente Important Daguerreotypes, 2003, lot 3. Le texte du catalogue indique deux versions existantes. La plaque présentée ici en propose une troisième, le sujet de l'arbre étant déplacé très légèrement vers la gauche et donnant plus d'importance au détail du rocher à la droite de l'image.
